TASK 2 - Creating your Second Screen Capture(Full screen version click here to see what we are asking you to create)

Step 1.You only need to create and save the session parameters once for a normal assessment. At this point you would be uploading/emailing the video file to your student created in Task 1 (firstSC.wmv). To capture your second assessment you need close the previous word document without saving.

Step 2. We want you to open and comment on contents of the file again but during the recording we want you to show a prepared file (see Step 4) and show the student how the work could/should have appeared. Open both files before starting the encoding commentary1.docx and commentary2.docx.

Notes to comment upon -

  • 2nd paragraph spelling of determination
  • 1st paragraph should read "that most research" not "that research"
  • There are 40 forced questions not 20.
  • it is ".org.uk" not just ".org"
  • be honest with the subject it will take 30 minutes to complete
  • 1st Paragraph 3rd sentence should be" I" not "We"

Step 3. When you are ready start encoding/capturing your comments, click on Start encoding (It will ask permission to overwrite the previous file, click yes/OK).

Step 4. In the middle of the recording show the file commentary2.docx and suggest the student corrects their work to look like this file and add an image.

Step 5. When you have pointed at/highlighted/added all the comments stop the capture/encoding. Carefully Play the output file (the movie), remember the comments about volume control. Close the Windows media player.

Step 6. Close the Encoder Results Window.

We hope you enjoyed the experience. Now click here for TASK 3
